Man on  the Moon

This week, we’ve been getting crafty and have made some rockets, based on our focus text of Man on the Moon! Our next steps in learning from this will be to write instructions on how to make the rocket!

Judaism

We are Judaism experts in Year 1! This week, we have learned all about the Mezuzah. Did you know that when Jewish people move house, they need to unscrew their Mezuzahs and take them to their next house? We made our own Mezuzahs which can now be found on doors all around Year 1!

Aliens

Can you believe that we had a visit from the aliens? Our focus text in Literacy is ‘Aliens Love Underpants’, so this week we were invaded by aliens – look at the mess they made! We will be writing a recount in the form of a newspaper article all about our alien visit.

Science

We are Science superstars! Our focus this term is back on seasonal change between winter and spring. We started by recapping what we already know about the 4 seasons, and then we performed some observations on what we could see in our school environment. We can’t wait to get outside next week to observe some more!
