Valley Road Academy are proud to be part of the North East Ambition’s Career Benchmarks Primary Pilot. The North East Local Enterprise Partnership (North East LEP) is a public, private and education sector partnership. They are one of thirty-eight LEPs in the country and are responsible for promoting and developing economic growth in the local authority areas of County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland. Working with, and supporting, 70 primary schools from across the North East LEP area to build careers aspiration and inspiration from an early age, the Career Benchmarks: Primary Pilot is a key part of the LEP’s Strategic Economic Plan. It forms part of North East Ambition, which aims to support each and every young person in the region to make informed decisions about their future careers.
