Spring term 2021 - Gallery and Work
Easter Activities
Science
In science, we have been testing the properties of materials. First, we discussed key vocabulary including absorbent, permeable, transparent, translucent, magnetic and insulating. Then we tested different materials to find out more about their properties and uses.
Computing
We created our tracks using separate pieces and then used remote control cars to try to drive around our track. We couldn’t have any gaps in the road or it wouldn’t work. This is similar to programming on a computer as if there are bugs in the coding, the programme won’t work properly.
Literacy
In Literacy, we read the story, “The Giant’s Necklace” then we created our own police report to report Cherry missing. This is the display of our finished work.
Maths
In maths, we have been multiplying three and four-digit numbers by a single digit and multiplying two-digit numbers by two-digits.
Mental Health Week
For children’s mental health week, we discussed what makes us who we are. The theme this year was Express Yourself. We sketched our faces and made one side look like us and filled the other with things that make us happy and that are important to us.
