Bethesda

On Tuesday 15th October, Year 4 went on a visit to Bethesda, during the visit the children listened to a range of interactive Bible stories. The children even had a chance to experience what it would be like to be a child during the Roman Times and meeting Julius Caesar.

MacMillan Coffee Morning

Year 4 enjoyed making chocolate crispy cakes for the MacMillan coffee morning. They measured and mixed the mixture to make some very tasty crispy cakes.

ART - Faces

As part of our Whole school, Art project of faces Year 4 chose to look at the artist Roy Lichtenstein. We researched who he was, what type of artwork he created and explored and discussed some of his work.

After exploring some of his work, we then tried to create our very ‘Ben Day Dot’ artwork with a pop art twist.

Harvest

During our R.E lessons, we have been learning about Harvest. We learnt about what Harvest is and why it is important. We researched what foods are grown and harvested during this time and baked some apple and cinnamon muffins

Here are what some of the children thought of the muffins we baked.

Emma:

“I enjoyed mixing the ingredients together in the bowl.”

Jay:

“The muffins tasted really nice I liked the apple inside.”

Indiee-Leigh:

“I enjoyed cracking the egg, I was very careful that I didn’t get any shell in the mixture.”
