Autumn 18

In our Music lessons this term we have been learning how to play the glockenspiel.

Here are some of the children playing the glockenspiel.

The Vikings

In Year 3 this term we have been learning about The Vikings. We have researched, modelled and even taken part in a real life Viking Battle.

Viking Shields

We made shields and armour for our Viking battle using card, we added Vikings designs and used foil.

Take a look at some of our designs.

As part of our Whole school Art project of people Year 3 chose to look at the artist Andy Warhol. We researched who he was, what type of art work he created and explored and discussed some of his work.

After exploring some of his work we then tried to create our very own pop art using an IPad changing the filters and effects.

Food Tasting

During our R.E lessons we have been learning about Harvest. We learnt about what Harvest is and why it is important. We researched what foods are grown during this time and even had a chance to taste some seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Here are what some of the children thought of the fruits and vegetables they tried.

“I liked the apple because it was cold, crunchy and was really sweet.”

“I liked the sweet potato because it is sweet and soft and fluffy inside.”

“I liked trying the parsnips because they were warm, and soft inside.”
