DT – Making Scones
Following on from an earlier session, where we made our own butter, the children made their own scones. We looked at ingredients we needed to make these and how to combine these together. We discussed where each of the ingredients came from and the ones produced on a farm. The children have developed their understanding of different foods and where they come from. As well as discussing healthy eating and a balanced diet.
National Storytelling Week
As part of National Storytelling Week we have been using our imaginations and coming up with our own stories. We used prompt sheets to pick a character and a setting then decided what would happen in our story. After we had drawn pictures to help us remember each part, we told each other our stories. We had a variety of stories from unicorns to scarecrows, happy and not so happy endings. Can you remember your story to tell an adult at home?
