We have noticed lots of changes in the nursery garden. The leaves have changed colour and they have fallen off the trees. We have enjoyed listening to stories about Autumn and have explored the Autumn treasures we have found.
We have enjoyed listening to stories about colour and have taken part in lots of activities that have helped us to recognise, name and sort colours. We have also found out what happens when we mix different colours together.
We would like to say a big WELCOME to all the children and families who have joined our nursery this term. We are looking forward to getting to know you all, having fun and learning lots. Well done to our returning children who have helped to welcome our new friends. We are so proud of how quickly the children have settled.
It has been lovely to see the children excitedly exploring their new learning environment; making friends and learning our routines. We have had lots of fun playing with playdough, building models, painting, playing in the sand pit and the home corner.
We have enjoyed listening to lots of stories all about children starting nursery. Ask your child if they can remember anything that happened in the stories.
Our favourite story was ‘Goat goes to playgroup’. In the story Goat hung up his coat, played with his friends, had a snack and listened to a story. We do all of those things at nursery too!
