The Toby Henderson Trust (TTHT) is an independently funded charity supporting autistic children, young people and adults, their families and carers in the North East of England.   We provide relevant, appropriate and accessible support for autistic young people from two years into adulthood, whilst also empowering parents, families and carers by sharing knowledge, experience and understanding.  We acknowledge that yours or your child’s situation is unique and we encourage you to contact us to discuss how we can offer individual support.

If you look after someone, anyone, we are here for you…

At Sunderland Carers Centre we provide support for people who look after others. That doesn’t mean professional carers. We support people who care for their husband, wife, mam, dad, son, daughter, sibling, friend or other relative. We offer information, advice and guidance to carers in and around Sunderland – and it’s all confidential, non-judgemental and impartial.

Choice Wellbeing Service CIC was founded in 2023 by a group of individuals who all shared an equal passion of mental health. This group of individuals are a mix of both parent carers and non parent carers brought together by CEO Tracey Huggins.

Tracey, being both a parent carer and someone who had struggled with her mental health since her daughters diagnosis, had realised there was a big gap in the system, where care for the parent and not the child was lacking. From recognising an additional need, services for the child would be an instant, well ran process. However, these service would not take into consideration the parent, their needs or their physical and mental wellbeing.
