Broom House Farm
Year 3 had an amazing day at Broom House Farm! Jo and Molly, who were our group leaders took us on a tour of the farm and taught us about how the farm changes through the seasons. Yesterday, all the animals were in the fields, due to the hot weather, except for the pigs and piglets! They were in their shed. We saw cows with their calf’s, sheep with their lambs and ducks with their ducklings. We went to the biggest field on the farm and Jo told us about the grass which was very long. This is to allow wild flowers to grow and attract the bees. We ate lunch in the classroom to take a break from the sun. In the afternoon, we went to the adventure forest and had a brilliant time, climbing, playing and having fun!
KS1 and Year 3 took part in Sports Day this week and showed their amazing resilience, teamwork, and determination. Pupils took part in a variety of fun activities, and were cheered on by enthusiastic friends, families, and teachers. The day was filled with encouragement, and plenty of healthy competition. Pupils showcased their athletic skills and the wonderful sportsmanship and community spirit of our school.
Year 3 have taken part in a project to learn about how we can keep ourselves Safe and Sound. We thought about safeguarding our emotional and physical health, when we are online and in the real world. We made healthy fruit salads, learned about water safety, took part in art and craft sessions and answered questions about online safety. We created posters of safe and unsafe online footprints. Our parents and carers completed a questionnaire; Appropriate online time. We completed the same questionnaire in school and presented our findings in pictograms. During our craft session we made jewellery and discussed how free time can be spent learning new skills and developing new hobbies. We have enjoyed the project so much!
