Year 2 Science Week Launch
This week, Year 2 launched their Science Week, where we are learning all about micro-habitats. We began by classifying different mini-beasts, examining them carefully to help us identify each one. Today, we made our very own wormery because we want to find out what worms do in the soil. The children made predictions, and we will be observing the wormery over time to see what happens. It’s already sparking lots of curiosity and excitement!
This week, Year 2 had a very exciting visit from Angela’s Ark as part of our topic Animals from Around the World topic. The children were thrilled to meet and name a range of wonderful animals!
We have been learning all about where animals live and how animals that like warm weather tend to live closer to the equator. Seeing and learning about the different animals up close really helped bring our topic to life!
