Easter Egg Competition April 2026

A big thank you to all of the children who took part in the Valley Road Easter egg decorating competition - we are very proud of you all. 

The children had a wonderful time decorating Easter eggs at home and were incredibly proud of their creations. They showed great creativity and it was lovely to see them sharing their ideas and celebrating each other’s work. The finished eggs looked fantastic! 

The children who have been taking part in Rock Steady band lessons,  performed a concert for the rest of the school. The children all played their instruments and the rest of the school joined in singing the songs. It was lovely to see how well the children are doing and the progress that they have made. 

On Tuesday Year 6  took part in a junior park run. 

What is Mowbray Park junior parkrun? 

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 2k event for juniors (4 to 14 year olds).  

When is it? 

It is held every Sunday at 9:00am. 

Where is it? 

The event takes place at Mowbray Park, Burdon Road, Sunderland, SR1 1QB.   

What does it cost to join in? 

Nothing - it's free! but please register (link below) before you first come along. Only ever register with parkrun once and don't forget to bring a scannable copy of your barcode.
