This week, Year 4 had visitors from Theatre Space. We took part in a Greek Workshop where we listened to stories about Greek Gods, heroes and monsters. After hearing the myths, we used our drama skills to create freezeframes and short snippets of each of the stories.
This week, we have been remembering those brave people that gave their lives in war. Across the year group, we worked collaboratively to create a collage from our poppy designs and old newspaper clippings after WW1 had ended. We also learned about Moina Belle Michael, the woman who started the poppy movement. At the end of the week, we celebrated Children in Need. Thank you all for the kind donations!
Welcome back Year 4! This week, we have started our new topic, Ancient Greece. In Literacy, we have been looking at instruction writing. We have focused on imperative verbs, which give us a command and using time adverbials, we have been ordering instructions, ensuring they are in chronological order, so they make sense and can be followed accurately. We worked together in teams and had to show off our oracy skills, to come to a shared agreement in our discussions.
