This week in our science lessons, we’ve been exploring how different conditions affect plant growth. As part of our experiment, we planted seeds and changed one condition for each: one had no water, one had no light, and one had no warmth. So far, we’ve discovered that the seeds without water or warmth did not germinate, while the seed kept in the dark did germinate but is growing tall and appears yellow in colour. The children have been fascinated by the changes and are developing great observation skills as young scientists!
We had a fantastic time this week taking part in a football tournament at another school!
Everyone was full of energy and excitement as we showed off our skills on the pitch. It was so much fun playing against other brilliant teams, and we made sure to cheer on all the players - ours and theirs! We were thrilled to win lots of our games, but most of all, we loved being part of such a great day. It was a fabulous experience, and we're already looking forward to the next one!
This week, the children have been exploring the beautiful work of Impressionist artist Claude Monet. They learned about his unique painting style and took inspiration from his famous pieces to create their own digital artwork using the Paint program on the iPads. Each child has given their piece a title, showcasing their creativity and understanding of the Impressionist style.
