We had a visit from some special visitors this week in school, Snappy and his friend toothpaste. Some of us went with them to see the dentist. They checked to see if our teeth were healthy and clean. We were so good and sensible, that we received a goody bag when we came back.
We visited Backhouse Park to look at seasonal changes. We noticed that the leaves had changed colour and were beginning to fall from the trees. We collected leaves, conkers and sticks to create artwork in the park. Take a look at what we got up to.
In Art we have started looking at the Swiss painter and sculptor Alberto Giacometti. Most of his sculptures are people in different positions. We decided to go outside and create our own positions. We then recreated them using tinfoil.
National Poetry Day
This year we celebrated National Poetry Day by listening to and writing our own riddles. They were fun to listen to and we were fantastic at guessing what the object was.
We wrote our own riddle. Can you guess who it is?
In science we have designed a bridge for the Three Billy Goats Gruff.
In Year One we practise our fine motor skills everyday.
