Some of our Year 6 pupils visited the Tall Ships Sunderland 2018 event. We had a brilliant day and we were invited on board the MIR, which was is a category A, Russian Tall Ship. A perfect day with perfect weather too!
Children from Year 5 & 6 took part in a competition to design a 'Work Safe, Home Safe' poster.
A&P came in to school and spoke to the children about safety in the workplace. Two children were chosen as winners and were presented with their prizes in assembly by Operations Manager Keith Henry.

We celebrated the Muslim festival of Eid by participating in activities linked to the celebration and Islam. Mr Biancci also held a Bollywood themed disco for us all. We had great fun!
We had Steve in from Amnesty International to introduce National Refugee Week. He brought some refugees with him to tell us about their experiences.
A HUGE well done to all of the children who took part in the dance festival at the Sunderland Empire. All of the children performed extremely well and their behaviour was outstanding. What a fantastic achievement, they should be very proud!
Gymnastics Competition
This week 23 children from across the school took part in a gymnastics key steps competition. The children enjoyed showing the coaches their skills and talents in gymnastics. All of the children represented our school exceptionally well, well done to everybody that took part!
You may know that we had a visit from Ofsted in February 2018.

We are so very proud of what the inspector saw in school. He reported what we see, every day. Polite children, a hardworking and dedicated team of governors and staff and a supportive community of parents and partners.
