Science
In science, we have been learning about the life cycles of fish, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds. We then researched different classifications to show their life cycle.
Travelling by Tuba
Travelling by Tuba visited school and showed us lots of different instruments. We then had a chance to play perform with some of these instruments and create our own song.
Athletics
On Monday 14th October, twenty pupils from Year Five took part in an athletics competition. We took part in relay races, long jump, vertical jump, chest push, javelin and sprint races. Everyone tried their best in each event and we had a great time taking part. Well done everyone!
Art
In art, we have been looking at Picasso’s art work focussing on faces. We used mirrors to distort our faces and sketch them and we played a game where we rolled a dice and that determined what each part of the face would be. Then, we chose which design we would use for our final piece. We sketched the face before mixing primary colours to paint them.
Working from home
Darcie brought in this amazing Anglo Saxon castle that she has made at home. She has clearly worked very hard on this and we have all enjoyed looking at it. I hope this inspires more people to be creative at home and we are looking forward to see more when they are brought in. Well done Darcie!
