Autumn 1 2020 - Gallery and Work
Computing
As part of computing work, we have used the internet to research life in Anglo-Saxon times. We found out what they used to build their homes, their beliefs, crime and punishment, farming, what they ate and what their main skills and jobs would have been. The children then used Powerpoint and programmes on Purple Mash to present their research.
Art
In art, we have covered tone, texture and shading. We used these skills to create a self-portrait of ourselves as part of our topic, ‘All About Me’.
Mental Health Week
As part of our work on healthy bodies, we looked at what can affect our mental health and ways to improve how we feel. We read different scenarios and talked about strategies that they could try to help improve their mental health. We also talked about strategies that we could use.
