Outdoor Week

Alice in Wonderland

This year the theme for Outdoor Week was ‘Alice in Wonderland’, over the two weeks Year 3 carried out in teams a range of Alice in Wonderland themed activities such as: designing a t- shirt for Teddy bear Grylls, den building in and around the school grounds, completing obstacle course and a range of other curriculum tasks.

Throughout the two weeks, the children demonstrated great skills in leadership, teamwork, problem solving, resilience and determination. At the end of the two week to celebrate, we had a Mad Hatters tea party.

Jessica “We enjoyed thinking of what shapes we could make”

Emma- “I enjoyed performing my routine, it was lots of fun”

Nature Walk

During this term, we have been outside looking around the school grounds seeing what plants and animals we can find. We worked in pairs during this activity and had a range of questions we had to answer about different animals, plants and habitats.

Katelyn- “I found a ladybird.”

Sam- “We found a baby rabbit.”

Hajera- “I found lots of beautiful flowers.”

Emma- “Our school has lots of nice plants and animals”

On Thursday 23rd June, Year 3 took part in school in a charity-skipping event for the British Heart foundation. The children had great fun displaying some of their skipping routines and helping their friends learn how to skip. Everyone had fun and felt proud of what they had achieved.

Emma- “I had fun doing the butterfly with Fanta.”

Billy-Jay “I can skip now!”

Ellie- May- “I was very happy that I won the skipping challenge and enjoyed skipping with my friends.”
