Autumn 1 2020 - Gallery and Work

ART - Drawing

As part of PSHE, we have been looking at the book “The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse”

In Art we used drawing pencils and charcoal to create some pictures that were in the style of the illustrator - .Charlie Mackesy.

ART - Painting

In Art, we have been learning about the primary colours.

Can you remember what they are?

Red, yellow and blue!

We predicted what colours we would make if we mixed them together.

Then, we mixed the colours together.

Yellow + Blue

Red + Yellow

Blue + Red

We then made a colour wheel to show which primary colours make the secondary colours (green, orange, purple)

Design Technology

In DT, we used a milk bottle to make a woolly mammoth.

Woolly mammoths are animals that existed a long time ago in the Stone Age.

We have been learning about instructions in literacy so we followed bring these amazing creatures back to life.

SCIENCE

Since returning to school, we have been learning about ourselves.

We wanted to know about how our bodies moved.

We found out all about our bones inside our bodies and how they help us to move around.

Then we made some skeletons to show the bones inside.

Alex’s fun fact!

Did you know over half your bones in your body are in your hands and feet?
