Summer 1 2018

This half term we are continuing to learn about the farm. Please take a look at our updated topic web:

Useful information for this half term:

Reception and Year One have been doing yoga with Jitterbugs. Not only does yoga keep our bodies healthy, it also keeps our mind healthy. We learnt moves such as the downward dog, the frog and the snake. We practiced breathing techniques to help us if we are feeling angry, upset or worried. Watch out because we will be doing more yoga later in the year.

 Broom House Farm

As part of our topic we visited Broom House Farm. At the farm we looked at and learnt about lots of different animals. We found out about life on the farm, particularity at lambing time. In the afternoon we used teamwork to complete challenges around the adventure forest, some of us also took on our own personal challenges. Have a look at some of our wonderful pictures.

Our Farm Assembly

We had a great time showcasing our work in our farm assembly. It was a great opportunity for our families to listen to our stories, letters, singing, take a look at our books and watch our dancing. Everyone was fantastic!

Thank you to everyone that came along to watch and your continued support!

Royal Wedding

To celebrate the Royal Wedding, we made our own royal crowns and decorated the classroom with homemade bunting. We ate our lunch outside with our friends and teachers. It was a great day!
