Autumn 1 2020 - Gallery and Work
Exercise is important to help keep us fit and healthy. We looked at the differences between sitting and resting and completing some exercises. When we were sitting resting our bodies were calm. After exercising, our breathing was faster, our hearts were beating quicker and we felt a little sweaty. We should be exercising for 1 hour every day and exercising will help us to concentrate in school more, keep fit and even sleep better!
We have looked at feeling and emotions this week and read the book 'Super Duper You!' We spoke about how we can feel different ways at different times and not everyone feels the same in situations. We then created a special tin and decorated this with wool. Next we used star stamps to decorate pieces of paper and wrote something lovely about everyone in the group. We posted the messages in the tins so we can read the lovely things our friends have said about us. It will make us feel so happy when we read them.
This week as part of our 'All About Me' topic we have designed and created our own photo frames. We thought about our design, the colours and decoration we would like. We then used our designs to create our photo frames and added a picture of ourselves to the frame. We compared our frames to our designs to say the parts we liked or would change if we made it again.
