Our First Week
We have enjoyed exploring our new classrooms, reading, painting, drawing, singing and lots more. We have loved being outside, playing with silly foam, riding bikes and using the big blocks in the construction area.
Healthy Eating
We have been learning about healthy and unhealthy foods and talked about why it is important to look after our bodies. We tasted different fruit and vegetables, made a healthy plate and sorted foods into healthy and unhealthy foods.
“This is the first time I’ve tried cucumber, it’s nice, I like it!” Nova
“It tastes like strawberry, mmm!” Tulisa
Keeping Safe
We have been learning about the importance of simple hygiene routines that can stop germs from spreading. We took part in an experiment using pepper and soap.
“Wow, how cool! The germs ran away from the soap!” Kevin
Stay and Play
We are holding stay and play sessions every fortnight, dates will be displayed on our reception notice board outside. These sessions give you a chance to see what your child is learning and to get involved as well as meeting other parents and chat informally to teaching staff.
It was lovely to see so many of our families join us for our first stay and play session this week. We enjoyed playing outside, writing, drawing, developing our cutting skills, making Elmer the elephant from milk cartons and sharing a story with our class and families.
