Success for All
Year 2 travelled all the way to Newcastle to visit ‘Jurassic Kingdom’. We saw lots of different Dinosaurs like; a huge, terrifying Tyrannosaurus Rex, Pterodactyls, a Brachiosaurus and some Velociraptors. We learnt some very interesting facts too. Did you know a T-rex’s longest tooth is 30cm long? Wow! That’s the same length as our maths books. Finally, we dug in the sand and even found some amazing dinosaur fossils!
What a fantastic day!
Learning at Home
Take a look at some of the work we have been doing at home as part of our Dinosaur topic. We made dinosaur models and wrote out own Dinosaur non-fiction book!
Harvest - Little Red Hen
In Year 2 we read the story ‘The Little Red Hen’ and we learnt lots of important lessons from it. We learnt to always persevere and never give up.
We also learnt that hard work always pays off and you will get rewarded for it. Finally, if someone asks for help then you should always try your best to help them.
We made bread using flour, yeast and water. We all worked together and helped each other. When it was ready, we all got the reward of eating it and sharing it.
We made poppies for our school remembrance display. We used tissue paper and different materials of red colour to collage them. When they were dry, we attached them to a piece of netting and displayed them in our school reception.
