Success for All
In Rainbow Room our topic for Spring 1 2017 is Lost and Found, this can be viewed below:
On Tuesday 28th February some children from the Rainbow Room attended a sports event at Sunderland Tennis Centre. They had the chance to take part in various sporting activities including tennis, volleyball and Boccia. The children behaved extremely well and represented the school brilliantly. We are eagerly awaiting to hear if anyone has made it through to the North East final. We will keep you posted!
On Tuesday 7th February Rainbow Room took Diamond the bear on a visit to Barnes Park. We took him to different areas in the park including the sensory garden, stumpery, pond, grand staircase and the park. We got up to lots of different activities including climbing the staircase (which has 63 steps), discussing a time capsule, what we would put in it and playing on the park. Unfortunately the park was very wet so we were only able to go down the slide. Diamond and the children had a great time and even enjoyed a hot chocolate drink when we came back to school to warm ourselves up!
Diamond the Bear
For this new term we have a friend staying with us in the Rainbow Room. His name is Diamond and he is a polar bear. He will be staying with us for all of the spring term. He has written a letter to tell us about his likes and dislikes and about his New Year’s Resolutions. We are going to be writing back to him with details about ourselves and some resolutions. We are also going to be taking him on lots of adventures and visits.
