Derwent Hill 2016

A brilliant first day here at Derwent Hill. When we first arrived we had a huge lunch and then split off into our groups to complete some activities. The first activities we did were team challenges, mountain walking and we made some warrior masks using natural materials. After that we had a 5 star dinner and it was time to get ready for our night walk. After a lovely stroll around Derwent Lake, we made our way back to the house for supper. We hope tomorrow is just as exciting!

Another fantastic day at Derwent Hill. We were up nice and early at 7am to enjoy a delicious cooked breakfast. We split into our groups and off we went on another fun filled day of activities. Some of us climbed a massive mountain called Catbells and enjoyed a ride on the ferry home followed by ice-cream. Another group went on the infamous ‘death swing’ and absolutely loved it! The final group got really wet gauge walking in the mountains. Tonight we are building our team skills and having an early night so we’re ready for another action packed day tomorrow.

Outdoor week is going really well here with Teddy Bear Grylls involved in so many challenges

None of us have hats like you though #jealous

See you soon - Mrs de Muschamp xx

Day 3: Another eventful day at Derwent Hill! We are loving it so much. Today we did canoeing, mountain walking and orienteering. We couldn't believe the views from the top of the mountain. Also, on our way up we explored some caves and jumped into a few streams and lakes and had a stroll through Keswick. Tonight we had our favourite pudding: sticky toffee pudding with lots of sauce! Yum!!

We are all tucked up in bed now for our last full day of trips tomorrow! See you all soon love year 5 and 6.
